Welcome to Sladen Lodge situated in Hathersage in the heart of the Peak District, the first National Park in Britain.

Sladen Lodge offers contemporary accommodation, ample parking and spectacular views across the Hope Valley. We have recently completed a major refurbishment and now offer accommodation for 14 adults (and additional children).

We would love to look after you in a friendly, contemporary environment, the ideal staging post for you to find Chatsworth and Alton Towers, the starting point of the Pennine Way or taste the internationally known products such as Hartington Stilton and the delicious Bakewell Pudding.
Great places to visit, magnificent scenery and a host of outdoor activities for adrenaline junkies.

Self Catering

Are you looking for luxury self-catering accommodation?

Sladen Lodge is the first large house to offer contemporary style accommodation in the Peak District. It is the only house where all guests can treat themselves to the extravagance of a smart en-suite with a fantastic power shower, wall mounted TV’s and CD radio alarms in all bedrooms. It sleeps 14 adults plus up to 4 children in 7 en-suite bedrooms. We don’t believe in “cramming people in” or inter-connecting rooms. The house is incredibly spacious and light with breathtaking views across the Hope Valley.

Guests can dine together around one large table in a huge open-plan dining room or collapse into comfy sofas and armchairs – the relaxing sitting room with stunning views has 4 sofas, 2 armchairs plus additional seating and an enormous coffee table.

The location is superb – in Hathersage – just a few minutes walk to a good selection of pubs and restaurants yet completely secluded in a half acre garden surrounded by trees and views to die for.

We can arrange in-house caterers for a special meal, visiting beauty therapist, pre-delivered provisions, babysitting, weekend adventure activities, local guiding etc – just call for more information.

Sladen Lodge is available to book on a self-catering basis for either weekly, weekend or midweek stays. The day for arrival and departure is Friday for weekly and weekend stays and Monday for 4 night mid-week stays. Should you be interested in any particular dates and length of stay other than those stated below please do enquire and we will quote rates and availability.

Team and Corporate Events

Sladen Lodge lends itself to large groups.

Sladen Consulting will be running Activity Breaks and personal development programs at Sladen Lodge throughout the year.

It’s not just the outstanding location that makes an event at Sladen Lodge so unique. We specialise in offering small groups of up to 14 delegates a truly inspirational venue of their own. The attention to detail and flexible hands-on approach of the staff ensures that packages are built around your own individual needs.

You will enjoy sole use of this contemporary style property and surrounding gardens. You will be designated a member of staff who will look after you throughout the day and provide complete flexibility regarding timings and catering. You will have full use of a variety of different rooms and situations, creating a stimulating yet relaxing environment.

Set in the beautiful village of Hathersage in the Peak District, the surroundings and spectacular views provide an inspiring location for some brainstorming, a challenging environment for team building or simply a stunning backdrop for a meeting away from the office.
